Athabasca County is presently accepting applications for a Tourism / Economic Development Officer at the County Administration Office.
This is a one (1) year term maternity leave position.
Key Responsibilities Include:
The Tourism / Economic Development Officer is responsible for implementing the County’s economic development and tourism strategy. The incumbent will promote economic development and tourism, collaborating with local business organizations to implement projects, policies, and strategic initiatives. The position requires the ability to work directly with the Tourism / Economic Development Committee to provide direct support in creating plans to foster business attraction, retention and expansion.
A degree or diploma in Economic Development, Tourism, Business or Marketing, or a degree related to the functions of the position is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week), with some evening and weekend work. The current salary for this position is $80,160 - $93,776. Athabasca County offers an attractive benefit package.
