Temporary Accounts Clerk

Key Responsibilities Include:

The Financial Services department provides financial stewardship and management services for the County, including financial support to all departments in the areas of accounting, finance, and budgeting.

Accounts Clerks are responsible for processing computerized accounts payable/receivable and related records maintenance; analyzing and reconciling accounts and performing a variety of supporting accounting duties, including reviewing cash batches, and posting batches, providing back up at the front desk for customer service representatives, EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), data entry, and posting to the sub-ledger.

Requirements:

Business or Accounting Diploma and two years related experience, or equivalent

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

Data entry and customer service experience

Experience reviewing and posting cash batches

Reconciliation Experience

This position works 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. It is a temporary 6 month position.
