A diploma in water and wastewater technology with Certification in Water Distribution (Level III), Wastewater Collection (Level III), Wastewater Treatment (Level I), with five (5) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of municipal water, wastewater, and storm water infrastructure and supervision is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Confined Space Entry and Monitor, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Standard First Aid, Ground Disturbance for Supervisors, hydrogen sulfide (H2S Alive) courses and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
An Alberta Class 5 driver’s license, criminal record check satisfactory to Leduc County and the ability to obtain security and health clearance at the Edmonton International Airport is required.
Project management and experience working with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Geographic Information System (GIS) is an asset.
A service focus with good communication and interpersonal skills is required to communicate clear instructions (both verbally and in writing) and to encourage participation and teamwork in the
implementation and coordination of work. Proven achievement of results and supervision is key to success in the role.
