Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Lead Tax Representative and overseen by the Supervisor, Budget and Reporting, the Administrative Clerk is responsible for entering and maintaining tax account records, data entry, processing payments and providing excellent customer service. The Administrative Clerk ensures that all information handled is accurate and confidentiality is maintained. Core Accountabilities
Update customer accounts in Great Plains.
Process and research returned mail.
Paper and electronic filing.
Process payments through direct deposits.
Prepare and mail re-prints of tax notices.
Other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Work in accordance with the requirements established by the RVC Health and Safety Program and the Alberta OHS Act, Regulation and Code.
Take reasonable care to protect the health and safety of themselves and other persons at or in the vicinity of the worksite while they are working.
Completion of high school along with a minimum 1 year of experience in data entry.
High attention to detail.
Must be bondable. As a position with potential high-risk exposure to theft or fraud, a criminal record check is required.
Good keyboarding and mathematical skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
Good verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working on computers and filing systems.
Ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks and process a large volume of work with a high degree of accuracy.
Experience with Great Plains (asset).
Demonstrated cooperative team player, able to maintain a positive attitude and foster a positive work environment.
