Parkland County has a permanent, part-time position available within the Human Resources Department for a Safety & Training Clerk. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Safety & Training Clerk provides support to Parkland County’s safety program by setting up and tracking safety training needs through the Safety Management System and provides file management, data entry and general administrative support to the Safety Coordinator. The Safety & Training Clerk will also assist with tracking, administration, coordination and facilitation of training programs, sessions and events hosted by Human Resources.
Rate of Pay: $23.92 - $29.90 per hour Hours of Work: 7 hours/day; 35 hours bi-weekly Benefits: Extended health care and dental/vision benefits are offered.
High-school graduation supplemented by post-secondary course work in safety, training/adult education or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative capacity. Preference will be given to those applicants with direct experience supporting Safety or Training programs within an organization.
Working knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Legislation is desirable.
Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to quickly adapt to new programs. Previous experience with an electronic Safety Management System is preferred.
Strong initiative, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
