Key Responsibilities Include:
Parkland County has a temporary, full-time position available within the Planning & Development Services Department for a Safety Codes Officer I – Building working until approximately December 2021. Reporting to the Manager, Development Planning & Safety Codes, the Safety Codes Officer I - Building conducts preliminary plan and document reviews prior to permit approval and inspects building construction and mechanical systems for compliance. This position is also responsible for completion of written inspection reports and entering inspection records on the electronic system and acts as the liaison to industry, the public and staff. In addition to effective coordination, work scheduling and time management skills, this position requires excellent written and verbal communication in terminology that can be readily understood by the applicants based on their level of industry knowledge.
Rate of Pay: $78,281 to $97,851 per annum.
Hours of Work: 7 hours/day; 35 hours/week.
