Key Responsibilities Include:
Parkland County has a permanent, full-time position available in the Planning & Development Services Department for a Safety Codes Officer – Gas, Plumbing & Private Sewage. Reporting to the Supervisor, Safety Codes Services, the Safety Codes Officer - Gas, Plumbing & Private Sewage issues permits, examines plans, and conducts inspections of gas, plumbing and private sewage installations. Permits must be in compliance with all applicable gas, plumbing and private sewage Codes, standards and associated regulations for elements of public safety governed under the Safety Codes Act and Permit Regulations for the protection and safety of the public. The Safety Codes Officer – Gas, Plumbing & Private Sewage additionally acts as the liaison to industry, the public and staff.

Rate of Pay: $86,968 to $108,710 per annum
Hours of Work: 7 hours/day; 35 hours/week
