Key Responsibilities Include:
Parkland County has a permanent, part-time (0.20 FTE) Pound Keeper position available in our Enforcement Services department. Reporting to the Supervisor, Bylaw Services, the Pound Keeper will provide maintenance of the shelter, general care of the impounded animals, assist in the release and adoption of the impounded animals, work with outside agencies impounding animals and transporting animals as required. This position is also responsible for assisting at the front counter and answering phone calls. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as demonstrate effective conflict management and public relations skills.

Starting Wage: $23.81
Hours of Work: Hours as required. This position involves shifts which will include evenings and weekends.

This position is covered by the International Union of Operating Engineers- Local Union No. 955, Community Peace Officer Unit, Collective Agreement.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
