Partsman I Journeyman

YOUNGSTOWN – This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the Shop Superintendent. The position involves:

The position involves:

Journeyman Partsman work in heavy equipment, automotive parts and materials receiving, warehousing and distribution operation;

Identification, purchasing, receiving, cataloguing, warehousing and issuance of parts and supplies as required for the maintenance and repair of trucks and heavy equipment;

Update and maintain computer inventory system, records, catalogues and cross references;

Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained; forecasting seasonal requirements as required;

Receiving, checking, handling, storing and issuing materials, equipment parts and tools from warehouse and storage yard;

Processing invoices for record keeping of equipment; and

A reasonable level of physical fitness as some heavy lifting is required

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS – The successful applicant will be a mature, personable, safety conscious team player with good communication and writing skills. A valid Alberta certificate as a Journeyman Partsman is required. The candidate must also be able to operate a forklift, have a valid Driver’s License and have good Microsoft Word and Excel computer skills.
