The preferred candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Five (5) years of progressive experience with three (3) years of supervisory experience
in managing multiple recreational lands, County facilities, equipment and staff at the
municipal level.
- Experience in facility, campsite, and trails management as well as horticulture,
arboriculture, turf management and landscaping.
- Proven successful writing ability for grant writing and environmental permitting.
- Excellent leadership, report-writing, communication, presentation, problem solving,
financial/budgeting capability, administrative and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to plan, schedule and review work of others in a manner conducive to
proficient performance and high morale.
- Politically astute, committed to customer service excellence, with a firm knowledge of
best practices.
The salary range for this position is $75,225 - $88,001. Athabasca County offers an attractive benefit package and contributes to the Local Authorities Pension Plan.
