$29.52 - $36.95 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a temporary, full-time Operator, Infrastructure Maintenance.
About the Opportunity:
The Operator, Infrastructure Maintenance ensures that all visitors and residents have a safe commute within corporate limits through the safe operation of City owned equipment and assets. Reporting to the Lead, Infrastructure Maintenance, Operators work in all types of weather and road conditions to achieve a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Operate heavy equipment for the purpose of road rehabilitation and maintenance including snow clearing and sanding
- Dust control and maintenance on gravel roadways and street sweeping on paved roadways
- Injection patching, pothole, crack and infrared repairs
- Maintenance of roadway markings and painting
- Preventative maintenance and flushing of sewers and existing sanitary line
- Catch basin and storm sewer maintenance including cleaning and thawing
- Inspection for safe operation of traffic signals, signs and lights., including emergency response to outages
- Participation in the on-call rotation to provide immediate response to emergency situations after hours
Requirements:
You are the successful candidate for this position if you have the following:
- Three to five years of related experience in equipment operations, municipal operation experience is an asset
- Experience operating heavy equipment, specifically operating a motor-grader is required
- Valid Class 3 Alberta vehicle operator’s license; with air brakes
- Previous experience dealing with a variety of people is an asset
- High School Diploma
- The successful candidate must be willing to provide a criminal record check, and driver’s abstract
- Must be fully immunized against COVID-19 and willing to provide proof of immunization as part of the recruitment process
