We are currently recruiting for a temporary, full-time Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Advisor.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Manager, Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness, the Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Advisor will provide leadership, support and assistance in the development, management and delivery of the OHS Management System and Wellness Program for the City of Leduc. This position will be responsible for support and assistance with OHS Programs and Services Development which include: strategic statistical analysis; standard development; software development, implementation and maintenance; program communication; training development; incident management; abilities management - occupational and substance abuse prevention as a designated employer representative (DER).
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have OHS-related education equivalent to a two-year diploma accompanied by an OHS Certificate (or currently working towards). A minimum three years of experience in an OHS capacity, preferably within the public sector. Comprehensive knowledge of the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code accompanied by knowledge of the AMHSA COR audit program. Standard first aid certification would be an asset.
The successful candidate must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check as part of the hiring process.
