Ideally to fill this role you will have a university degree in a related field, plus five years in a progressively more senior level in a municipal or police setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
In addition you will have:
- Strong relationship, team-building, listening and leadership skills.
- A thorough knowledge of relevant federal, provincial and municipal legislation and regulations.
- Must pass and retain RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance.
- Possess above average leadership qualities.
- Ability to resolve conflict during controversial situations and lead by example.
- Demonstrated public relations skills, including the ability to speak effectively in public and work cooperatively with the media.
