What you need to succeed
Must-have
A diploma or designation in civil engineering or a related discipline along with ten (10) years of experience as a Direct Responsible Charge operator with certification of Water Distribution III, Wastewater Collection III and Wastewater Treatment I in the province of Alberta. Must be eligible for, or maintain a Certified Engineering Technologist, Professional licensee, Engineering (C.E.T. P.L. Eng). certification.
Nice to have
Experience in the planning, design, project management, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition infrastructure and principles and/or construction of utility infrastructure projects, as well as a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of municipal water, wastewater storm water, and waste management and their related legislation, regulations and codes of practice is an asset. Familiarity with municipal governance, operations, and knowledge of rural communities is also asset.

We offer a competitive annual salary of between
$99,552 - $124,440, municipal pension plan, three-weeks vacation allocation with an additional five compensated days in lieu, and an employer-paid comprehensive benefits package.
The opportunity is permanent full-time and is 35hours per week scheduled Monday to Friday, with some extended hours to meet operational requirements. The office is located at 101-1101 5 St. Nisku, AB.
