We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Manager, Infrastructure Maintenance (Public Works).

Key Responsibilities Include:

Reporting to the Director, Public Services, the Manager, Infrastructure Maintenance oversees the planning and management of the Infrastructure Maintenance department within Public Services. This position is responsible for monitoring and managing this section’s operating and capital budgets, tracking costs, looking for efficiencies and providing overall leadership and direction to staff the in the infrastructure maintenance branch of public services. This position works with the public regarding their concerns and expectations and all work must be within budget and follow all policies and procedures of the City of Leduc.

The successful candidate will be a leader, mentor and team builder who can connect and inspire their team. They must be able to call upon their technical abilities, field experience and excellent communication skills to meet the ongoing demands of current and future development and build partnerships that cross internal departments, citizens, and external stakeholder groups.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have, at minimum, a post-secondary diploma in an applied science or engineering technology program and possess or be eligible for professional designation as a C.E.T. with ASET. Professional designation as a P.Eng. with APEGA, or eligibility for designation, would be considered an asset as well as the Alberta Public Works Supervisor Program Certification, including First Aid, WHMIS, Defensive Driving and TDG. The successful candidate should possess a minimum of five-years of related experience in municipal operations and familiarity with the various equipment that is used in the maintenance of roads, water and sewer operations would be considered an asset.
