THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting, high-impact opportunity to uphold the principles of the accreditation program and inspire confidence in Alberta’s safety codes system.
The Manager, Accreditation—with the legislative authority and responsibility as the Administrator of Accreditation under the
Safety Codes Act—leads the Safety Codes Council’s accreditation program. The Manager, Accreditation oversees the accreditation of municipalities, agencies, corporations, and regional service commissions to administer the Safety Codes Act within Alberta. The Manager is responsible for making accreditation decisions, which include approving quality management plans, annual reviews, and improvement submissions. Furthermore, the incumbent works collaboratively across the Council to ensure a robust and effective functioning of the Safety Codes System by providing trends and insights from the accreditation program.
