Requirements:
As the successful candidate, you will have a degree in Social Work, Human Ecology, Psychology, or Child and Youth Care or equivalent field. Suicide intervention, mental health first aid and standard first aid are assets. This position requires a minimum of five-years of related experience demonstrating strong problem solving and decision making skills. Experience working one-on-one with individuals, parents/guardians and children, as well as partnerships with a variety of agencies and schools. Experience in supervision and budget management as well as providing parenting strategies for all ages. Knowledge of mental health and addictions, crisis intervention and family violence prevention strategies. Knowledge of the FCSS Act and Regulations would be an asset. Successful completion of a Child Welfare Check and Criminal Record Check - Vulnerable Sector are required.
