RhPAP – Alberta’s Rural Health Professions Action Plan is one of Canada’s more comprehensive NGO programs for the education, attraction and retention of health service providers to work in rural Alberta. We intend to hire a Rural Health Workforce Analytics and Policy Analyst to coordinate and support our research and analysis functions. This will assist our ongoing efforts in the development of innovative programs and policy towards improved rural health services and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Director of Operations and planning, the Rural Health Workforce Analytics and Policy Analyst supports KPI reporting, program evaluation, analytics, research projects, program planning and maintenance, policy analysis and spearheads the effort for additional research funding, and grant applications. This includes sourcing out and applying for additional research funding, database maintenance and development, survey administration, statistical modelling, environmental scanning of business and health sector issues and report writing. The Rural Health Workforce Analytics and Policy Analyst provides monthly updates to the RhPAP team and collaborates regularly with RhPAP stakeholders. The work undertaken by this position assists in ensuring RhPAP continues to make a significant and sustainable contribution to rural health.

Ideally, you have university degree in a field such as public health, business, statistics or MIS and have 3-6 years of related professional experience. A Masters level education is considered an asset. As a life long learner, you are comfortable making presentations and you excel at managing multiple projects at one time. You also have significant experience in sourcing out additional traditional and non-traditional funding coupled with experience in writing successful proposals for those funds.
Salary Range: $68K – 100K and an employer paid benefits plan.
Position Type: Initially this position is for a one-year term based in Rural Alberta or Edmonton.
