We are currently recruiting for a temporary, part-time LATS Operator.

About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Accessible Transit Supervisor, this position is responsible for the safe transport, from door-to-door, of seniors and individuals with physical and/or cognitive disabilities, within the City of Leduc. Operators work shift work in all types of weather and road conditions. This job is physically demanding and operators are routinely required to lift up to 20 kilograms.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Operation of a LATS vehicle, transporting clients in a safe and responsible manner

Maintain contact with supervisor and Dispatch Services via radio and cell phone as required during shift

Maintain fare products for sale to clients, along with a cash float and an accurate accounting of sales

Maintain work records, preparing reports, etc.

Perform pre and post-trip inspections, cleaning and fueling of vehicles

Reporting of any mechanical issues to supervisor and Fleet Services

Maintain certifications and attend training as required

Requirements:

You are the successful candidate for this position if you have the following:

High School Diploma

Valid Standard First Aid certificate

Valid Class 4 Alberta vehicle operator’s license; non-probationary with no more than 3 demerits

Formal training/experience in defensive driving

Excellent customer service and public relations experience

The successful candidate must be willing to provide a current criminal record check, vulnerable sector, and a current driver’s abstract as part of the recruitment process

Must be fully immunized against COVID-19 and willing to provide proof of immunization as part of the recruitment process
