Key Responsibilities Include:
Parkland County has a temporary, part-time position available within the Strategic Services department for a Land Management Assistant from June 2021 to approximately November 2021. Reporting to the Municipal Land Specialist, the Land Management Assistant is responsible for performing secretarial, clerical and administrative duties related to rural and municipal land management. Duties include answering calls from the general public, processing department/ project related reports and agreements, maintaining land project related filing, accurately creating and processing invoices for accounts receivable revenues and accounts payable expenses, preparing Land Use Authorizations, Caveats, License and other agreements, performing land title and corporate searches, and drafting website updates.
High School Diploma or equivalent (post-secondary administrative training would be considered an asset).
A minimum two years of progressively responsible office experience including records management.
Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and familiarity with Land Management software such as Spin II, ETS and EDS.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently.
Familiarity with the Torrens Land Title System
Familiarity with the Dominion Survey System (the ability to read Township maps would be considered an asset).
Rate of Pay: $22.07 per hour
Hours of Work: 7 hours/day; 2-3 days per week
