Key Responsibilities Include:
The Land Administrator is a new position under the direction of the Development Services Manager, responsible for the administration of municipal land interests. Duties will include tracking and managing the County's land interest portfolio including owned, leased, registered interests, and Municipally held Provincial Dispositions. This position will administer, verify, and process documents related to acquisitions and dispositions in accordance with policy, bylaws, and legislation.
The ideal candidate will be community minded and able to work with others to enhance the services and needs of County citizens and stakeholders. Candidates should be able to objectively analyze data and requests and apply policies and legislation in a logical manner to formulate recommendations that support the County's values and operating principles. A keen attention to detail, strong communication and comprehension skills are a must.
Minimum two years' experience in Land Administration and post-secondary education in relation to Land Administration is considered an asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach issues with an open mind and unbiased manner to develop innovative, cooperative solutions.
Ability to demonstrate strong time management, organizational skills, and manage interruptions within a fast-paced environment.
Ability to accurately interpret legal survey plans, drawings, and legal descriptions.
Superb customer service skills are a must.
Willingness to embrace technology.
Proficient in MS Office.
Experience with SPIN and GIS is an asset.
Robust knowledge of the Alberta Land Titles system and Land Titles procedures.
Knowledge and experience with the Municipal Government Act and other applicable Provincial and Federal legal statues.
This position is Permanent Full Time working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.
