Junior Applications Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary, full-time Junior Applications Analyst for the Enterprise Systems and Analytics Unit.
About this Opportunity:
The Junior Applications Analyst reports directly to the Manager of Enterprise Systems and Analytics. This position is responsible for supporting, managing, and implementing enterprise applications across the organization. This position will work and contribute alongside their analyst colleagues and participate in various projects as required to improve the quality and efficiency of business application delivery across the organization. The Junior Application Analyst will also perform analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with corporate applications.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot applications, investigate, and diagnose system faults/errors, and document resolutions
- Perform fixes including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
- Develop, implement and/or manage enhancements or improvements to applications
- Analyze documentation & technical specifications of new applications under deployment or consideration to determine intended functionality
- Review and analyze effectiveness and efficiency of applications & develop strategies for improving or leveraging these applications
- Compile and maintain the inventory of applications and systems assets and related contracts, agreements, and licensing
- Coordinate internal and external resources and perform routine system upgrades
Requirements:
You are the ideal candidate if you have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline or two-year post-secondary diploma
- ITIL Foundations Certificate is an asset
- Minimum three (3) years of work experience in implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise applications on-premise and/or SaaS or PaaS environments
- Experience supporting N-tier application architecture is considered an asset
- Experience with SQL and relational databases is considered an asset
- Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware/server, protocols, and standards
- Experience using an ITSM ticketing software is an asset
- Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end-user procedures
- Experience working in an organization that follows ITIL processes would be considered an asset
- Must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check at own expense
- Must be fully immunized against COVID-19 and be willing to provide proof of immunization or provide written approved exemption based on a protected ground under the Alberta Human Rights Act
