Athabasca County is currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Job Costing Clerk. The Job Costing Clerk will be responsible for the costing of all jobs completed by the County, and for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payables, accounts receivables and payroll.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Set up jobs to track all costs including payroll.
- Timely entry of all records to ensure that deadlines for payroll, accounts payables, and accounts receivables are met.
- Entry of timesheets to interface to payroll for processing.
- Entry and verification of all job specific invoices.
- Accurate entry of inventory to ensure that stock/parts are maintained and use of materials are recorded.
- Entry of gravel hauling to maintain inventory records and ensure payments to vendors.
- Entry of all accounts receivable billing in the work tech system to appropriately record both external and internal use of resources and ensuring that the
appropriate amounts are billed.
- This position deals with confidential information and must be committed to the protection of privacy in alignment with FOIP.
- Be familiar with the records retention policy and procedures; ensure all information is properly marked, organized, and maintained accordingly.
Requirements:
Municipal experience and knowledge of Worktech/Pearl is an asset. Applicants with an accounting background and 2-3 years office experience are encouraged to apply.
The current salary range for this position is $56,330 - $65,895. Athabasca County offers an attractive benefit package and contributes to the Local Authorities Pension Plan.
