Key Responsibilities Include:

This position is a great fit for a candidate who has experience working as a senior planner or a planner looking to take the next step. The candidate will need to have experience in both current and long-range planning. Your role with PRMS will generally include:

Preparation, review, and implementation of Land Use Bylaws and statutory planning documents including Intermunicipal Development Plans, Municipal Development Plans, and Area Structure Plans.

Statutory plan and LUB amendment application processing, reporting and presentations.

Provide support and advice on planning & development questions and inquiries from municipal shareholders and residents.

Subdivision application processing (As needed)

Provide project support and advice to other staff.

Requirements:

Qualifications

The successful candidate possesses a degree in Urban and Regional Planning combined with municipal planning experience. An APPI/CIP regulated member or Candidate Member is preferred. Further, the candidate will possess the following qualities:

Ability to take initiative and work with little direction to meet deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
