We are growing our team of dedicated IT professionals. Could you be our next best fit? Reporting to the IT Manager, this position will be the first point of contact for our staff users. There will be on-going and last-minute requests primarily focused on Help Desk Support to resolve hardware, software and device issues; monitoring ticketing system; assisting users with basic training for Microsoft applications. Other responsibilities include identifying security requirements and user needs prior to the acquisition of hardware and software; assisting the IT team with installing and maintaining software and hardware and updating user accounts and permissions.
Diploma or degree in computer science or information technology.
1-2 years previous experience in troubleshooting, researching, and installing software and hardware.
Available to work a rotational on-call schedule in addition to regularly scheduled hours.
Class 5 driver’s license. Able to drive to County building locations.
Physically fit and able to lift, carry and install hardware.
Previous experience in providing training to users with varying levels of computer literacy.
Microsoft System Professional Certificate.
Microsoft Office Certificate.
Familiarity with FOIP legislation and working in municipal or public sector organization.
