Alberta Parks is hiring seasonal Park Information Officers in the Central Region for the 2023 camping season.
This position provides a stationary front-line government contact for public campground registration, queries and comments related to travel in, and recreational use of Provincial Parks, Recreation Areas, Wildland Parks, Natural Areas and surrounding area. This Visitor Services position's primary purpose is to provide exceptional front-line customer service in person, on the phone and through email to assist visitors, deliver information, problem solving issues and sell products such as firewood/concession. Alberta Parks Central Region spans from BC to Saskatchewan across central Alberta and encompasses many Provincial Parks and Provincial Recreation Areas. Possible work locations are; Aspen Beach, Carson-Pegasus, Crimson Lake, Dillberry Lake, Miquelon Lake, Pierre Grey’s Lakes, Pigeon Lake, Red Lodge, and William A. Switzer Provincial Parks.
Salary:
$21.62 - $26.42 per hour
- Wage employees receive 11.2% in addition to regular wage earnings in lieu of benefits and vacation leave.
- 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays.
- 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay.
