Requirements:
-Post-secondary education in horticulture, arboriculture, landscaping or a related discipline.
-2 years or more experience in a horticultural role. Supervisory experience is considered an asset.
-Landscape Pesticide Applicator certification or Authorized Assistant certification (or the ability to obtain).
-Class 5 Driver’s License with an acceptable Driver’s Abstract.
-Standard First Aid certificate or the ability to obtain prior to start date.
-Defensive Driving certificate or the ability to obtain prior to start date.
-Ability to conduct strenuous work for extended time periods and perform medium lifting of 25 kilograms.
-Ability to wear a half mask with organic carbon filters when handling herbicides, and completion of a Respiratory User Screening Form as per the CSA Z94.4-11.
-Experience in cargo securement, hooking up trailers and towing is considered an asset.
-Experience driving a pickup on gravel roads is considered an asset.
-Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment and ability to work independently.
-Familiarity with the Alberta Township Survey (ATS) System and rural addressing systems.
-Strong problem-solving skills.
-Knowledge of horticultural practices.
-Mechanical knowledge and aptitude to repair and maintain small engines and other implements.

Salary Range: $29.00 - $33.93 per hour
