Key Responsibilities Include:
The HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR operates single and tandem axle trucks, graders, front-end loaders and other medium and heavy weight construction equipment to support the maintenance of county roads and municipal infrastructure. The Heavy Equipment Operator is a key contributor to the achievement of the department’s operational deliverables.
Requirements:
A high school diploma and a valid Class 3 Alberta Driver’s License is required. A Class 1 Alberta Driver’s License is an asset. Three (3) years of trucking experience or tandem axle plow/sand truck or other heavy equipment operation is required.
A service focus with good verbal and written communication skills are required in order to communicate effectively. Familiarity with County operations and knowledge of rural communities is an asset.
