A valid Alberta Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman Interprovincial Certificate, Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification, experience with heavy trucks and equipment, and Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP’s) certification is required. Ability to diagnose and repair fire equipment is required. Welding, hydraulics, DC electrical, or electronics experience are all assets. Third year apprentices will be considered.
A service focus with good verbal and written communication skills are required in order to communicate effectively. The ability to work in a team environment and independently, with minimal supervision are required. A valid Class 3 with air brakes endorsement Alberta Driver’s license is required.
