The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of Grants Coordinator. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager, Corporate Services.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Research various types of grants available and inform internal departments of possible opportunities.
Compile necessary material for the application process through collaboration, evaluation, and other research methods.
Provide guidance and assistance in the interpretation of funding agency application guidelines, and project requirements.
Prepare and compile all components of each grant application submission, ensuring that the proposal is formatted, packaged, and submitted in accordance with granting agency requirements.
Develop and maintain databases and tracking systems for grant proposals, funding awards, and all subsequent procedures.
Ensure the effective stewardship of grant funding through appropriate budgeting, administrative procedures, and compliance to grant agency requirements.
Monitor and coordinate the administration of any post-award follow up requirements, including the submission of the Statement of Financial Expenditures (SFE’s), and submitting reports in accordance with the prescribed deadlines.
Coordinate the preparation of final written reports and presentations of the grant project.
Maintain the master files for grants and documentation related to programs and funding.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Project Management).
2 years of technical writing experience and/or grant writing techniques.
Completion of or working towards certification in public governance, such as a National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration (NACLAA) certificate.
Demonstrated knowledge of related legislation such as the Municipal Government Act and/or the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, is an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with many coworkers.
Excellent project management skills with ability to manage complex projects.
Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
