Parkland County has temporary Flagperson positions available in both the Public Works and Engineering Services Departments for approximately four (4) months.  Reporting to the Foreman and stationed in Stony Plain, you will provide traffic control/directions to motoring public traveling through work areas with some labour duties required.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.  You will be supplied with protective equipment (coveralls, hard hat, and fluorescent reflectorized vest) which must be worn when applicable. You must supply your own CSA approved steel toe footwear, which must be in good condition and worn when applicable.

Rate of Pay: $19.71 per hour
Hours of Work: This position is based on working 40 hours/week.  Hours may vary significantly depending on weather and operational conditions.  Extensive overtime may be required.

This position is covered by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 955 Collective Agreement.
