The County of St. Paul is currently seeking applications for a full-time Finance Technician based on a 35-hour work week. The position shall report to the Director of Corporate Services and serve as part of the Finance Department.
The successful candidate shall have a University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Commerce, or Business and/or previous experience relevant to the position.
Candidates must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting. They must be able to work in an open office, team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Experience with Serenic Software and/or in a municipal environment are considered assets.
The duties and responsibilities of the position include:
Payment and reconciliation of statutory and benefit deductions
Processing of records of employment and annual T4s
Annual Pension Plan Reporting
Annual WCB Reporting
Assist with budget preparation
Assist with year end audit preparation
All other duties as requested
