Finance Officer

The M.D. of Provost No. 52 is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Finance Officer.

Reporting directly to the Administrator, this position is responsible for the oversight and management of all aspects of the municipality’s finances, including, but not limited to, the following duties:

Maintenance, monitoring, and reporting on operating and capital expenditures;

Oversight and reporting of project costing;

Preparation of the annual capital and operational budgets;

Providing assistance to the Auditor in preparation of the annual Financial Statement;

Management of term deposits and day to day banking activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Requirements:

Previous experience and education in a finance-related field is necessary, and an accounting designation is considered a definitive asset.
