Key Competencies:
The ideal candidate will possess some or all the following attributes:
- Self-directed, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of local governments and their operations. Experience working in municipal government considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic competencies of computer software (i.e., MS Office) and website maintenance.
- Strong business and political acumen.
- Conference or event planning experience considered an asset.
- Driver's License and reliable transportation, due to travel requirements
About the Organization:
Founded in 1980, AMSA is a group of public works leaders from rural municipalities across Alberta. AMSA members’ goal is to improve service to our respective municipalities and citizens through its forum for the exchange and development of innovative ideas as well as opportunities for professional development.

Hours of Work: Approximately 20 hours per month, increased in March/November for conference attendance and for zone meetings. Rate of pay is $37.50/hour.
