Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the Engineering Project Manager is responsible for managing the City’s capital projects, which includes directing contractors and consultants on infrastructure projects, managing budgets, reviewing engineering standards and project requirements, and engaging with various stakeholders. Technical responsibilities include preparation of specifications, cost estimates, tender documents, and the administration of contracts for the construction of infrastructure and related assignments. The Engineering Project Manager shall also review and approve matters related to site plan and development drawings submitted as part of developments within the City, ensure the City’s Engineering Standards are up to date, and ensures the integrity of the infrastructure data and associated systems of infrastructure management for the City’s asset management program.

Responsibilities:
- Manage Capital Projects and all associated contracts- 70%
- Update/Contribute to City’s Asset Management Program – 10%
- Assist with the drafting, approval, and enforcement of Development Agreements- 5%
- Review drawings and plans related to development applications and proposals- 5%
- Provides support for other departments in tendering/contracts- 5%
- Maintains and updates the City’s Engineering/Design Standards- 3%
- Field work such as surveying, site inspections etc.- 2%
- Surveying and other related duties- 2%
