Engineering Project Manager
Full-Time, One-Year Term – 35 hours per week
$44.98 – 56.21 / hourly

We are currently recruiting for a full-time, term Engineering Project Manager.
About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Capital Projects and Development, this position has an active role in most projects throughout the City providing technical advice on both project management and engineering-specific items. The position liaises with other departments and with external agencies to facilitate project implementation. This position is responsible for multi-million-dollar budgets as well as managing some operating budgets as directed.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Development and execution of capital municipal engineering projects including but not limited to the road network, sanitary sewer system, water distribution system, stormwater drainage facilities
Prepare request for Proposal (RFP) documents for services and participate in the selection process
Review drawings and specifications developed by Consultants to ensure compliance to the City of Leduc Engineering Standards and best practices
Assist with the preparation of the Budget in relation to the Capital engineering and roads projects
Notify and liaise with the public to minimize any concerns
Monitor construction of subdivisions to ensure compliance and issue CCC/FAC certificates as appropriate including field inspections as required.
Develop specific information and/or bylaws for senior management or Council as requested.
Provide technical support to Committees / Boards as directed by management
Ensure compliance to the City of Leduc Health and Safety Policies
You are the successful candidate for this position if you have the following:
A technical engineering diploma (civil discipline) from a recognized technical institute or a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering degree
Five (5) years of experience in municipal engineering either within a municipality or consulting firm
Two (2) years’ experience in project management
Eligible for professional designation as either a C.E.T with ASSET or a P. Eng with APEGA.
Equivalencies will be considered including Engineering in Training (E.I.T.) or Technologist in Training (T.T.)
Knowledge and experience with MS Office Software. Knowledge of Bluebeam and GIS software would be an asset
Willing to provide a criminal record check as part of the hiring process
Must be fully immunized against COVID-19 and be willing to provide proof of immunization prior to start date
