Required:
- Grade 12 diploma.
- Emergency Fire Dispatch (EFD) certification.
- Communications and/or emergency-related experience.
- Computer proficiency.
- Capacity to work efficiently for long periods of time.
Assets:
- Knowledge of the County and surrounding area.
- Emergency Communication Response certification.
Rate of Pay: $30.34 per hour
Hours of Work: Casual (as required). This position involves
shift work which will include
weekends. Shifts normally being 6-12 hours in duration; covering 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
This position also provides sick/vacation coverage (which may involve up to full-time hours at peak times of the year). The initial training period will involve a commitment of 200 training hours over a two-month period. Please indicate your ability to meet the above scheduling requirements in your application.
