Electronic Records Analyst

$60,824.40 - $76,076.00 per annum

Reporting to the Lead, Corporate Records, the Electronic Records Analyst combines management and administrative work of an analytical nature and deals primarily with the electronic records of the corporation. This position requires extensive knowledge of the methods, techniques and procedures used in the collection, storage and retention of all records and documents, but specifically electronic records and documents. While recognizing statutory responsibilities under the Municipal Government Act and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act this position will ensure that measures respecting the municipality’s records are developed, documented and put into place to preserve them in accordance with recordkeeping or records retention requirements, rules and policies.
The ideal candidate will have a Records Management Certificate from an accredited Institution. A minimum two years of directly related experience in a Corporate Records environment, preferably in municipal government. Must have experience in the design, development and implementation of electronic records management systems. Must have excellent customer service skills, be organized, detail oriented, analytical, possess good oral and written communication skills and able to work with minimal supervision. A proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with RecFIND, knowledge of ARMA/AIIM best practices, IM/IG theory, standards and best practices would be an asset.
The successful candidate must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check as part of the hiring process.
