Parkland County has a permanent full-time Economic Diversification Coordinator position in our Economic Diversification department. Reporting to the Manager, Economic Diversification, the Economic Diversification Coordinator is responsible for providing business attraction and retention support to the team. This position is also responsible for the support of internal and external workshops, meetings, events and conferences while coordinating Economic Diversification programs and committees. This position will also provide general departmental support including records management, website content creation and maintenance and processing of expenses, invoices and cheque requests. The successful candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A Post-Secondary Diploma in Business, Marketing, Economic Development or related discipline is required.
A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of related experience is required.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote) is required.
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention for detail is required.
Previous experience with event and meeting coordination.
Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Rate of Pay: $59,408 - $74,260 per annum
Hours of Work: 7 hours/day; 35 hours/week
