Eco-Station Attendant

Key Responsibilities Include:
While reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure Maintenance, you will be responsible for assisting and educating the public on the proper handling and disposal of waste, to ensure all contamination and unsuitable items are removed and to provide site safety and cleanliness at the work site. You will have regular contact and communication with contractors to achieve efficient pick up of garbage bins, recycle bins, electronic waste, batteries, paint, oil and household hazardous waste. You will be responsible for collecting fees and keeping records of monetary funds. The ability to work weekends is a requirement for this position.
Requirements:
As the successful candidate, you will have a High School diploma or equivalency as well as two years’ experience dealing with the public in a direct customer service capacity or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The successful candidate must be able to regularly lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds and shovel snow to keep steps and walkways clear of snow and ice. As part of the hiring process, the successful candidate must provide a current Criminal Records Check.
