The County is located east of the Town of Peace River. It has an abundance of natural resources with the third largest oil sands development in Alberta, some of the finest agricultural land and wilderness areas for fishing, hunting, and camping. Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of Engineering and Planning participates as a senior staff member in the overall County administration and is directly accountable for the planning, administration, and management of the Engineering and Planning Department.
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary education in Civil or Civil-Environmental Engineering or related field of study with five years of local government experience. Experience with procurement, including writing of contracts and agreements, as well as broad-based engineering and technical skills relating to the municipal field are required.
