Key Responsibilities Include:
Parkland County has Temporary, Full-time positions available in the Engineering Services Department for Data Collectors (Survey Assistants) from beginning of May to end of August, 2022. This position is appropriate for post-secondary students looking for engineering related experience. You will be responsible for accurately collecting roadway inventory, roadway surface condition data then summarizing field data into an asset management database utilizing mobile hardware. You will provide assistance to the department in the planning process regarding review and revisions of asset management reference materials. Additional duties may include GPS data collection, water, wastewater and storm water facility data collection and inspections, traffic counts, sidewalk assessments, construction project support in the field and in the office and various engineering related duties. You must adhere to all safety measures outlined in related policies while involved with any aspect of the duties required to ensure work is performed in a safe environment while working alone on Parkland County’s rural roads with minimal supervision.
