Under the general direction of the Manager of Supplier Relations, the Contract Administration Manager, will be responsible for developing strong relationship with our program suppliers. The primary focus of the role will be engaging with Canoe approved suppliers and building relationships throughout their networks and to build awareness around the cooperative contracts. This will be done through hosting Canoe/supplier trainings on regional levels and exploring opportunities for further partnership and support for Canoe and our associated partners. A portfolio of suppliers will be given to the Contract Administration Manager, and they will be expected to manage and evaluate suppliers’ performance but to also drive the overall revenue of the portfolio
Key Responsibilities Include:
The Contract Administration Manager will be responsible to assist in the implementation of Canoe’s procurement and Supplier relations activities. This will include but not be limited to:
- Providing support to the Supplier Relations team
- Onboarding new suppliers nationally and regionally upon award
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers
- Drive growth and utilization of the cooperative contract with suppliers
- Quarterly supplier reviews
- Annual supplier contract reviews and events
- Regional supplier expansion
- Partner association relationship management
- Facilitating training opportunities
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
Scope:
- Strong understanding of business and sales processes
- National account management is an asset
- Ability to successfully communicate with multiple groups
- High proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to set and reach marketing objectives
- Experience working with multiple teams on multiple projects
- Aptitude for providing customer support and direction to Canoes members
- Strong time management skills
- A willingness to take on leadership roles
- Ability to travel (clean drivers abstract)
- Understanding of procurement law and agreements
- Proven ability to create and facilitate presentations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Completion of related post-secondary degree or diploma (Business Administration preferred)
- Marketing or business development experience
- Requires high degree of initiative, professionalism, and judgement
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
