Parkland County has a Permanent, Full-time position available for a Compensation & Payroll Analyst. Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Total Rewards, the Compensation & Payroll Analyst is responsible for all duties related to full cycle payroll processing, benefit administration, and the timely collection and processing of payroll data specifically as it relates to the budget process and generation of internal reporting for the department or for other areas of operations. This position will also ensure staff receive the information and support they need to understand their pay and payroll systems.

Rate of Pay: $59,408 to $74,260 per annum.
Hours of Work: 7 hours/day; 35 hours/week.

High school graduation and completion of the Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certificate or equivalent.
Three to five years of payroll experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Familiarity with applicable legislation and governance (Alberta Labour Standards, Canada Revenue Agency, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy).
The ability to establish and maintain effective, tactful, service-oriented relationships with staff.
The ability to be flexible, thrive working under tight deadlines and demonstrate excellent time management skills is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel along with the ability to easily adapt to new financial/payroll software is required. Previous experience with Microsoft D365 and Ceridian would be an asset.
Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required.
