We are currently seeking a full-time Community Engagement & Partnerships Specialist to join our Communications & Legislative Services team. While reporting to the Manager, Communications & Legislative Services, this position is a key role in supporting the strategic stakeholder relations projects and initiatives, as well as to provide support to communications within the department and across the Town. We are seeking a creative thinker with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and a keen interest in good engagement to address complex issues in our local community. This Temporary Full Time position has an expected end date on or before September 2022.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Develops, executes, and oversees the implementation and fulfillment of sponsorship and community partnership agreements.
Manages inventory, sales and implementation of advertising opportunities.
Promotes the development and implement Town approved activities related to events which include levels of stakeholder engagement based on community needs.
Provides on-site lead (planning, creating, and coordinating) for designated Signature events such as Lite Up The Night and Morinville Festival Days.
Manage and collaborate with external contractors and community groups.
Maintains logistical management of public engagement initiatives.
Assist with Council engagement to ensure integrity of the Town’s brand and identity.
Develops and assists with implementation of engagement opportunities.
Assists in the development of marketing/promotional materials for events, festivals, programs, and project initiatives
Post Secondary education in a related field (e.g. commerce, communications, event management).
Minimum of five years of related experience, preferably in a municipal or government setting (equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered).
Project Management would be considered an asset.
Previous experience in developing and implementing community events preferred.
Demonstrated professionalism and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, as well as interpersonal and critical thinking skills and abilities.
Strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Proficient with MS Office 365, common industry software and social media management applications.
