Community Development Manager

Come join our team! Clear Hills County is inviting applications for a Community Development Manager. The location for this position will be in Worsley, Alberta. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week (8 hours per day) Monday to Friday.

This full-time, permanent position offers a salary range of $85,347 - $146,309 (salary is negotiable within this range based on experience and qualifications). A top notch benefits and pension package.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the successful applicant will be responsible for a wide range of programs and services at the County, including Development & Planning, Agricultural Services, Fire Services, Emergency Management, Recreation and Communities. This is a supervisor position with full time, part time and seasonal employees.

Effective organization and time management skills.

Excellent communication skills including written, verbal/interpersonal and presentation skills.

Understanding of the legislative process and knowledge of the Municipal Government Act.

Knowledge of municipal accounting and budgeting procedures.

Experience working in a municipal environment.

Development Officer or related experience.

Knowledge of agricultural practices and the Weed and Agricultural Pest Control legislation.

Valid Pesticide Applicator Certificate.

Ability to act with discretion when working with sensitive issues or situations and maintain confidentiality.

Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office) and a willingness to learn new technology as needed.
