Under the general direction of the Manager of Business Development, the Client Relations Manager will be responsible for creating and developing strong relationships with Canoe's member base in Ontario. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for business growth for the province of Ontario. This position would also engage with current suppliers to strategize on accounts with a defend, grow and maintain mentality. This position will also work closely with our supplier relations team to implement new programs as awarded via the tender process.
This position will report to the Manager of Business Development and will work closely with the rest of the Client Relations team, Inside Sales team and the Supplier Relations team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
The Client Relations Manager will be responsible for the following activities. This will include but not be limited to:
- Market share growth for Ontario
- Execution of Growth targets for both Trade and Energy programs
- Specific target account plans and execution
- CRM tracking and reporting
- Ongoing Supplier planning and strategy
- Quarterly member reviews
- Annual Supplier engagement and events
- Providing direction to the member outreach team
- Revenue capture accountability
- Facilitating training opportunities to our members
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of business and sales processes
- Ability to successfully communicate with multiple groups
- High proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to set and reach marketing objectives
- Experience working with multiple teams on multiple projects
- Aptitude for providing customer support and direction to Canoes membership
- Strong time management skills
- A willingness to take on leadership roles
- Ability to travel (clean drivers abstract)
- Understanding of procurement law
- Proven ability to create and facilitate presentations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Completion of related post-secondary degree or diploma (Business Administration preferred)
- Marketing or business development experience
- Requires high degree of initiative, professionalism and judgement
- Ability to work effectively, independently and in a team environment.
- Experience working in multiple teams, and on multiple projects
- Aptitude for dealing with members and suppliers
- Strong time management skills
