Key Responsibilities Include:
Parkland County has an immediate need for Firefighters for a term of up to three months. Stationed at the Tomahawk Firehall and reporting to the Deputy Fire Chiefs, the Firefighter is primarily responsible for conducting fireline patrols on the Tomahawk Wildfire, actioning hotspots where required to maintain existing fire perimeters and protect life and property within the wildfire zone. This position may also be responsible for performing the duties and services provided by Parkland County Fire Services. This includes serving as a first responder and responding to emergency incidents such as, but not limited to: fires, medical first responses, motor vehicle incidents, alarm calls, hazardous material incidents, water incidents, rescue incidents and rail incidents. This position may also participate in regular training, public education, preventative maintenance, and other duties as required.
