Pay Class: Class 1 Rate– 2021 CUPE 2800 Contract ($18.55/hr start rate, $20.87/hr job rate plus mileage as approved)
Reports To: Infrastructure Manager
Position Reporting Site: Lethbridge County Administration Building and various County locations for traffic counts.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Primarily working independently to record traffic count data throughout Lethbridge County.
Accurate record keeping.
Adherence to Lethbridge County Directives and Policy.
Perform overtime as required to accomplish tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
Various other related duties as assigned.
This position will work 9-hour days Monday through Thursday (7:00am-4:30pm) and 8 hours on Friday (7:00am-3:30pm) out of the Lethbridge Administration Building or other suitable locations inside the County as required. Seasonal hours may change as per CUPE agreement. The duration of this position will be approximately 12 weeks from May 31 - August 20, 2021.
Previous experience conducting traffic counts is required.
Grade 12 High School Education or GED or equivalent work- related experience.
Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
An intermediate computer skills level and knowledge of applications.
Have a Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing.
Access to a reliable vehicle daily is required to carry out daily job functions.
Strong communication skills and professionalism with the public.
