Key Responsibilities Include:
Parkland County has a temporary, full-time position available within the Financial Systems & Business Efficiencies Department for a Business Financial Analyst until approximately June 28, 2019. Under the direction of the Manager, Financial Systems & Business Efficiencies, the Business Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting and managing the financial business processes within the Chief Financial Office (CFO) Division. The Business Financial Analyst is responsible for providing business process support and actively leading the comprehensive analysis of business needs and priorities related to financial processes. This position focuses on ensuring efficient processes and appropriate controls are in place to provide relevant information for: financial reporting, business planning, management decision-making and customer service requirements.

Rate of Pay: $77,120 - $96,400 per annum.
Hours of Work: 7 hours/day; 35 hours/week

Requirements:
A Business Analyst Certificate or Process Analyst Certificate is desired. A Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting would be considered an asset.
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience including experience in the areas of Public Sector Accounting Standards, the Municipal Government Act and business processes along with in-depth knowledge of financial controls.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Membership in the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) would be considered an asset.
Strong technical skills to analyze, evaluate and interpret business processes.
Ability to apply and demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to understand client needs and develop solutions.
Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
